                         CHRISTMAS ON WEST 7th
In recent years we have held a Christmas Eve Eve Service on December 23rd. This service has been geared toward the family, youth and children. In this new reality we have found ourselves, we are adapting this service and taking it to the street, literally.
Christmas on West 7th will take place on West 7th Street, literally on the street. A mass gathering permit has been filed with the city, requesting to have West 7th Street closed from Garden Street to High Street.
The service will be thirty to forty-five minutes in length beginning at 6:00 PM. We currently plan to have a petting nativity, hot chocolate, music, and sing Silent Night while holding a light.
Please place this special night on your calendar and begin inviting others in the community. We need a few items and volunteers to make this a successful, less stressful and very welcoming evening for community guest.
Patio propane heaters to be placed in the street to establish warming stations. If you have one, thank you for considering providing propane and stationing yourself near, for safety.
Volunteers outside to welcome, assist attenders with directions, seating, and assist ushers in passing out items needed for the service.
Volunteers inside the Fellowship Hall to direct guest to restrooms
A truck to hold a spotlight in the bed, in place at 4:30 PM.
Heavy Duty Outdoor Extension Cords
If you are willing to serve in these ways please contact the Church Office by phone or email, 931-388-3306,

Our JOY SQUAD is here to serve.  If you are choosing not to get out and wish to have some necessities brought to your home, please contact Marilyn Blade at 931-216-6876.  Additionally if you are willing to help the JOY SQUAD and run some errands for those in need please contact Marilyn.

The Soul Food Ministry needs your help.  This ministry provides a meal for a family who has experienced a death.  This meal is usually provided after the funeral or memorial service.  There are two ways you can help:  Provide a side dish or give money to the Soul Food Fund to purchase the meat.  If you see yourself helping with this ministry, please contact one of the chairs, Charlotte Battles or Kay Holt.
